Vision

Island Group Plans, Inc. is one of the leading providers of Vision insurance. Our two main Vision insurance companies that we recommend are VSP & Davis. Healthy eyes often translate into good overall health, so vision care is an important part of any benefits program. Regular eye exams can detect diseases like glaucoma, diabetes, and other possible causes of blindness in their early stages.

Our vision plans provide access to two large national vision care networks. We cover exams and materials, and allow members to visit any doctor they wish, but offer significant savings on out-of-pocket costs when visiting a network provider.

Our Networks Our provider networks give members thousands of access points nationwide. VSP and Davis Vision combined have over 80,000 access points nationwide, including retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, JC Penney, Sears, and Pearle.
Network Discounts Generous network discounts include up to 25% off laser vision correction, discounts on additional glasses, and cosmetic enhancements such as tints, special lenses, and scratch-resistant coating.
Contact Lens Benefits Contact lens benefits allow members to choose contact lenses instead of eyeglasses. A contact lens allowance counts toward contact lenses and the contact lens exam (fitting and evaluation).
Benefits and Lens Upgrades Optional benefit and lens upgrades are available, including lens tinting, progressive lenses, anti-reflective coating, polycarbonate lenses, safety glasses, and additional glasses

Accelerated Life Benefit Allows an employee diagnosed with a terminal medical condition to receive up to 50% of his/her group term life benefit to assist with finances.
Waiver of Premium If an insured employee becomes totally disabled prior to age 60, life insurance may be continued without further payment of premium until age 65.
LifeAssistsm Provides critical income to employees who suffer a severe or catastrophic disability.
Enhanced Accidental Death & Dismemberment Available features include day care expense benefits and additional payouts when seatbelts and airbags are used.
Portability Employees can continue their life coverage through Guardian upon termination of their employment for reasons other than injury, sickness or termination of the policy.
