President
Ken Dunne is the President of Island Group Plans. He founded Island Group Plans in September of 2000. Ken built IGP from a one-person office to an agency with over twenty-five employees, including more than a dozen leading industry brokers.
Under his leadership team, IGP is famed as Long Island's most influential and competitive agency in the employee benefits industry.
Ken served with e 101st Airborne Division, including tours overseas with the Multi Forces & Observers task force in the Middle East. He also served with the 77th Infantry Division during the first Gulf War.
Additionally, Ken taught high school social studies for more than a decade before founding Island Group Plans, Inc. He has a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree from the University of Stony Brook.

Kenneth Prechtl
Managing Partner
Ken Prechtl has over 45 years in the Financial Services Industry. Previously a Senior Vice President with a large international bank dealing directly with Institutional client relationships. Ken has spent the last 18 years in the Employee Benefit marketplace, in which his analytical skills and client relationship experience have proven to be a tremendous asset.
Ken joined Island Group Plans as the Managing Partner in 2007 and has helped in the growth of the company since then. Ken is the glue that links the Client Service Department with the Sales & Marketing Department to provide seamless service to all our valued clients.
Ken lives in Massapequa and is married to his wife Maria, and has two children. In addition to work, Ken is an avid golfer and has successfully raised over $40,000 for The Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop University Hospital and continues to support the tremendous programs provided by this wonderful institution.
Cindi Berdon, CBC
Vice President Sales & Marketing
Cindi is a Chartered Benefits Consultant and the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Island Group Plans. Cindi has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She has served in key positions for several insurance companies, a national benefit administrator, and a TPA firm.
Being on both sides of the fence, carrier and now broker, enables her to provide the expertise and insight needed to assist my clients from many different perspectives.
Alison Mills
Employee Benefits Consultant
Alison Mills is an Employee Benefits Consultant who began her carrier at IGP in 2003. Being an expert in finding customized solutions, Alison helps her clients design, implement and manage the employee benefits program that best supports the strategic direction of their organization.
Alison is a graduate of New York University and currently resides on the north shore of Long Island with her husband and kids. Alison’s favorite tv show to binge-watch is The Office. She has watched the entire series at least 3 times!
Jennifer Bosco
Employee Benefits Consultant
Since 2008, Jennifer has assisted employers in implementing and servicing their employee benefits packages. This includes medical, life, dental and vision insurance, as well as other supplemental benefits such as Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Reimbursement Arrangements.
Jennifer graduated from SUNY Stony Brook in 2008 with a degree in Business Marketing and lived in Brightwaters with her husband and three kids.
Betty-Ann Silberer Buono
Employee Benefits Consultant
Betty-Ann Silberer Buono is an Employee Benefits Consultant who began her career at IGP in 2008.
Betty-Ann brings extensive experience which is applied to each and every client she servies. Betty-Ann listens to the goals of her clients and finds solutions to help her clients design and manage the best employee benefits program for their company.
Betty-Ann is a graduate of St. John's University with degrees in Psychology and Business Administration. She currently resides in Orange County, NY with her husband and son. She loves to spend time with her family, hike & bike ride, and spend time with her horses.
Adam Brody
Employee Benefits Consultant
Adam has been with Island Group Plans since the spring of 2007. After graduating from SUNY Albany in the Spring of 1998, Adam started working at MetLife and has been in the employee benefits space ever since. His beliefs are in line with IGP's commitment to not only save employers money, but to improve benefits for the employees as well. His main focus is making HR professionals' lives easier, acting as an extension to their departments. Adam believes educating employees and employers alike on the details of their benefits makes for an easy and positive employee benefits experience.
Adam is the father of 2 children and lives in Melvile, NY. In his spare time he enjoys tennis, poker and sports card collecting.
Michael Berdon
Employee Benefits Consultant
Michael is passionately striving to bring the best solutions to help companies and their employees from the seemingly never ending rise in healthcare costs and the burden it places on all of those involved.
After graduating from SUNY Binghamton, Michael went back to school and is currently working towards his Master's Degree from Harvard University. He is actively involved in the Graduate School's Business and Consulting clubs in an effort to bring new skills and solutions to his clients.
